| Playing for Uncle Sam" Sergeant Major Manuel Bobenrieth, the non-commissioned officer in charge of the United States Army Strings, discusses the demands and opportunities of being a musician/ accordionist in the armed services. The workshop will include topics such as Department of The Army requirements of all military musicians for enlistment as well as specific demands placed on him as currently the only accordionist in the Armed Services. |

Sibelius Computer Programs Part B - 2:45 p.m. Part B of the Sibelius workshop will focus on music scanning and arranging - using Sibelius to download and upload music to and from the web. |

Her workshop is about expressing joy, sadness, playfulness, etc., in your music, and about bellows control, and accenting for dance music. Joan will play several short 3/4 time pieces, all accented differently, and dancers can immediately tell what kind of dance to do by the accents, such as: waltz, hambo, laendler, schuplattler. |
